Case Study: Roads and Traffic Authority
The New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has overseen a rapid adoption of outdoor electronic billboards and LED (Light-Emitting Diode) technology in the past two years. P20 LED displays are now used extensively across Sydney to dynamically update commuters of changes in traffic conditions and public announcements. The latest evolution in this digital strategy is the use of informative digital signage to compliment static billboard advertising.
The RTA has partnered with Be Digital to implement a P10 outdoor LED digital signage display on one such overhead gantry on Southern Cross Drive, reaching drivers traveling to both the domestic and international airports. The gantry is currently leased by local media buyers oOh!media who's real-estate value relies on Likelihood To See (LTS). By installing the LED display the RTA increased the value of their gantry space with local time and temperature information that helps to attract commuters attention.
